Many wonderful things happen to you after you awaken your Soul. You will release much of the friction and tension of your life, you will find yourself relating much better to others, and you will release any anger or fear. The experience of living effortlessly evolves as you eliminate worry and doubt from your life. You will quickly see that as long as you hold the Presence of God in your Soul, your life flows like a gentle stream. If at any time fear, doubt, guilt, anger, worry, or any other ego-driven emotion overwhelms you, you may overcome these fear-induced disruptions by invoking your Mind-Heart-Soul connection. Acknowledge the Presence of God in your Soul, consciously connect your Mind, Heart and Soul, and request assistance. This will instantly center you, and focus your Mind on positive, creative thoughts about the issues you are dealing with. This will help you see the solutions necessary to neutralize the source of the negative emotions. Your Mind-Heart-Soul connection is an instantly available spiritual tool that you may utilize at any time you feel insecure or troubled. Even when you feel at your lowestyour worstit is imperative to connect with your Soul, even if you feel "unworthy." That is when you need this spiritual connection the most. You will be flooded with the Soul's reassuring, nonjudgmental grace, which will immediately dispel all tension, worry and stress, and replace it with soothing calm and confidence. The more often you employ this marvelous spiritual tool, the more highly-charged the connection becomes, and the less frequently you will succumb to fear-based emotions. Three primary behavioral changes help create this transformational experience, each of which will greatly improve the quality of your life. The first and most important of these changes is learning to love yourself. You cannot underestimate the value of this seemingly simple yet at times enormously difficult human endeavor. Far too many of us really don't like ourselves very much, we feel helpless to change our behavior, and we project that to all around us. It is not egocentric to love yourself, but rather it is the result of truly understanding and appreciating yourself, perhaps for the first time in your life. Once you understand your true spiritual nature, and the importance of love, you will want to love yourself. It is the starting point of your personal spiritual quest. You may have heard the expression, "God is love." This is true in a very literal sense. You can learn to give and receive this love if you host God's Presence within you. You can express love fully and completely. Start with yourself, and you will find that love radiates outward to those around you. Loving yourself aids you toward your ultimate spiritual perfection by helping you release the negative emotions which block your happiness. Loving yourself promotes self-healing to rid yourself of physical ills through the release of the disease-causing negative elements of your life. Loving yourself helps others love you, because you will soon start attracting others through your own evident cheerful goodness. Loving yourself encourages and allows you to love others on all levels, in a breadth and depth of unimagined beauty. Loving yourself ultimately aids the evolution of humankind, by projecting positivity to all around you. Whenever you find yourself guilt-tripping yourself, or mentally chastising yourself, allow your higher understanding of life to step in, ask and give forgiveness, and move on to something more positive. Never allow yourself to dwell in negativity, feeling sorry for yourself by feeding a "poor me" image which bears no resemblance to the real spiritual center of your loving self. The second important step you must take is to develop a closer relationship with Nature. You can do this in a myriad of simple ways, and the more ways you do, the deeper the reward. We are told in eloquent terms by channeling personality Seth why this return to nature is so important for us individually and collectively: "You must return, wiser creatures, to the nature that spawned you not only as loving caretakers but as partners with the other species of the earth. You must again discover the spirituality of your biological heritage." To re-establish your contact with Nature, you can start a small garden in your yard or in a small window box if you don't have a suitable yard. You can plant some flowers by your front door, or grow some ornamental plants in your home. You can take a hike in the woods, or visit a lake, river or ocean. You can simply sit quietly under some trees in a nearby park. You can bring a new pet into your life, or start feeding the neighborhood birds or squirrels. You experience a "special feeling" when you become involved with nature. It's your root consciousness connecting with Nature, as it did so long ago, a part of your forgotten spiritual heritage being revitalized. When was the last time you sat quietly and looked and listened as a summer thunderstorm passed? When was the last time you went "out in the country" and connected with Nature? When was the last time you went swimming in a natural, unpolluted body of water? Can you recall that exhilaration? When was the last time you planted a seed, or a seedling, and nurtured it into a flower or decorative plant? When was the last time you honored any plant or animal on Earthor Earth itselfas a fellow spiritual being created by your common Creator? We can sense the wonder of the natural world we see around us, the magical world we so much take for granted. Can you recall the majesty of the moment when you saw a rainbow, or a shooting star or comet, or the beautiful rising or setting of the sun or moon? You can sense the holy Presence of God in a rainbow, in a sunrise or sunset or in the awesome sight of the universe at night. You can sense the Presence of God in a flower, or a plant, or a tree. God's Divine Presence is there to be felt and appreciated. More
