What can be a greater reason for writing than to compose a book or story that changes or transforms the lives of others? We all have read such works. They helped to define us.
Truth is, all of us possess experience and knowledge that can prompt change in another’s life. It’s a matter of finding the right format or genre, and writing about it.
In “Writing That Transforms Lives,” we explore:
• The uniqueness of our personal experiences, knowledge and perspectives;
• Areas of expertise and influence we enjoy in our personal and professional lives;
• What motivates ourselves and others to seek change;
• Writing techniques and exercises that directly touch hearts and souls, and prompt courageous movement—the precursor of change;
• The Secret of Fables: Storytelling that captivates the reader
• The language of transformative and sense-ual writing;
• Writing forms that evoke change: memoir, journaling, letter writing, songwriting, poetry, how-to and self-help books and articles, biography, topical non-fiction.
“Writing That Transforms Lives” is a vital workshop for professional and recreational writers, life coaches, healing arts professionals, therapists, counselors and teachers.
The workshop fee of $99 (early registration: $89) covers all course materials. Books will also be available for sale.
